Join Developmentalist Mike R. Jay, in identifying your own behavioral baseline, as you create your own virtuous learning cycle using our 7-Point DYNAMICS of LBMS:

• Capability
• Bias
• Style
• Level
• Role
• Values
• System
The 7-factor approach is a metacognitive approach that umbrellas your current developmental approach using a proprietary model of virtuous development. This DYNAMIC SYSTEM of DEVELOPMENT is cutting edge adult development that rivals any personal strategic developmental approach in its simplicity and thoroughness for creating practical tools for self-leading systems.
Coaches, Consultants, HR, Managers, and Executives can all benefit quickly from this 7-POINT Approach.
The system, through teaching you how to discover your own virtuous cycle of learning begins by producing fast results in real time and keeps motivating you to learn through deep and profound discovery of your own DYNAMICS using our 7-Point Compass.
In just a few hours of exposure, your own performance and developmental lights will turn on creating a personalized guidance system to direct your scarce resources of MITEAM (Money, Information, Time, Energy, Attention, and Motivation) → there really IS an “I” in MITEAM!
This 7-Point Approach provides you with information that “Mindfulness” Training LEAVES OUT.
Let’s face it, there is too much to see, hear, and do.
Our age-old question of getting the right people, doing the right things, at the right time, in the right way, in the right place, for the right reasons is still flashing red!
It begins with you, and me.
How do you create the right filters for you, and still understand where and how to grow quickly, and where to limit areas of growth which have low leverage for you and your current and future roles?
Mike has coached individuals in more than 45 countries for more than 25 years and learned only ONE THING FOR SURE: People are different.
Carwash strategies and “be like Mike” training and development have minimal effect now, near, and far.
What is clear is that you and I need a “DYNAMIC” – adaptive approach to how we learn, grow, and develop our knowledge, skills, and experience in and over time.
No matter what “approach” or model you are using now, BmD can augment, improve, and enhance your model as you embed the approach in your own model as a metacognitive set of strategies.
Metacognition is maybe the least understood developmental tool we have available today and consequently is not spoken or used to enhance and improve performance and leader development in today’s postmodern world.
“Metacognition refers to higher order thinking which involves active control over the cognitive processes engaged in learning.”
“Metacognition” is often simply defined as “thinking about thinking.” In actuality, defining metacognition is not that simple. Although the term has been part of the vocabulary of educational psychologists for the last couple of decades, and the concept for as long as humans have been able to reflect on their cognitive experiences, there is much debate over exactly what metacognition is. One reason for this confusion is the fact that there are several terms currently used to describe the same basic phenomenon (e.g., self-regulation, executive control), or an aspect of that phenomenon (e.g., meta-memory), and these terms are often used interchangeably in the literature. While there are some distinctions between definitions (see Van Zile-Tamsen, 1994, 1996 for a full discussion), all emphasize the role of executive processes in the overseeing and regulation of cognitive processes.
The term “metacognition” is most often associated with John Flavell, (1979). According to Flavell (1979, 1987), metacognition consists of both metacognitive knowledge and metacognitive experiences or regulation. Metacognitive knowledge refers to acquired knowledge about cognitive processes, knowledge that can be used to control cognitive processes. Flavell further divides metacognitive knowledge into three categories: knowledge of person variables, task variables and strategy variables.

Through an experiential learning approach, the program embeds the acquisition of metacognitive skill and knowledge through a variety of modalities in the 7-POINT System, which is then applied individually to guide your own development now, near, and far towards creating “right action” for you and others.
As a leader, this system is indispensable because of the shift of leadership development from the HR System to the Managerial Leader. Individual leaders, who now are becoming responsible for their own leadership improvements, need a clear developmental compass to guide the allocation of scarce resources.
First Public Program 2014
This first public program begins Friday December 12, 2014 at 6 pm Central Time in San Antonio, Texas, as we welcome you to a metacognitive-virtuous learning experience and the secrets to getting optimal benefits quickly.
The session Friday evening opens up the "can of worms" around your personal CAPABILITY DYNAMICS and facets of why you can do what you do, when, where, and how.
Saturday’s sessions begin with BIAS and continue with STYLE DYNAMICS. You are then positioned Saturday Afternoon to take on LEVEL, ROLE, and VALUE DYNAMICS and ending the day ready for our Saturday Evening Session on SYSTEM DYNAMICS with a special opportunity to “tie” it all together.

On Sunday Morning, we will share our models and learn from each other as we discuss our own Leadership Behavior Models and tweak them on the fly with Developmentalist Mike R. Jay.
This is a personally relevant approach to self-leadership which can be scaled back into your leadership team, or use as a consultant, coach, or developmentalist.
Purchase of the program entitles you to the 2015 Certification Course offered through a discounted price given virtually during the course of the year in 9 Founder-led Interactions, culminating in the December, 2015, Certification Retreat.
As leaders encounter postmodern conditions and ask WHO can lead WHOM, to do WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, AND WHY; you will know HOW to DESIGN DYNAMIC Development Programs using our 7-POINT Approach!
Even if you’re not ready for postmodern leadership and the opportunities and challenges that will follow as complexity accelerates, you can get ahead of the curve to master the tools to manage and lead into an uncertain future.
From one of last year’s attendees:
What Mike does at the in-person retreats is nothing shy of phenomenal!
Especially if a person shows up willing to play. The value there, on a personal level, is rocking!
To see Mike take the theoretical and make it practical simply juices all these ideas into reality.
Hope to see many of you there!
All the best.
Tim

Venue:
The event is being held at the LA Quinta Inns & Suites, which is located near the three hotels clustered on the Google map below. People might want to stay in other places, like the River Walk or such. The hotels are well-priced IMHO.
The price for the rooms at La Quinta Inn Vance Jackson is much lower this time around since we are scheduling it outside of a high demand period. You may book two full sized beds for $52 per night (total w/tax for 2 nights is $121.42) or a king size for $69 per night (total w/tax for 2 nights is $161.12). Please let us know what type of room configuration you would need. The sooner we know this, the sooner we can confirm the rooms, as these rates will be good until November 21, so book early. Or you may call the Inn directly and make your booking. Just let them know it is for the Retreat.
Springhill is the nicest and farthest and we can shuttle or pick folks up there, if needed, and I’m pretty sure they have airport shuttle.
3 other hotels within walking distance:
The Day’s Inn has very good rates and one of our members vouches for it’s quality. Click HERE for more information.
There are several different price points for the Retreat based on several factors. So be sure to read the various options. This year we are also offering DVDs of the Retreat, if you are unable to attend or want a copy of your Retreat experience. Read below for more information.
Your registration fee is $779, this includes our Assessment Package valued at $497.
For those Inner Circle members who have already taken the majority of the assessments (the list of the assessments are the BIAS assessments we have HERE and the optional LDMA which are provided at cost) the Retreat is $297.
For Inner Circle members who have not taken the assessments, click HERE to email us for your price.
The discounted 2015 Program is $479 for Retreat registrants and good through December 31, 2014, regular price is $797 through December 31, then it goes to the regular price of $1,000.
Our Guarantee:
We know you will gain much more from the Retreat than the small investment you are making. However, if for whatever reason you decide to cancel, you will receive a 100% refund at any time before November 22, 2014. After that time there will be an administrative non-refundable fee of $197, up until December 5. After December 5 no refunds will be given.
